Finally Working!

Well, I have been unemployed for the last four months and have really enjoyed it for the most part. I was quite the house wife, but all good things need a shake up once in a while so I finally went back to work. Now, this is where it gets good...I signed up with a company to substitute teach and have started getting jobs. One that came my way seemed good, but remember, I have no idea where anything is here other than my remote area. So, I took a job in Pontiac, which is a little on the shady side of things. I drove to the job and realized that I was probably not in the best neighborhood and it was at a high school, which frankly scares me. Anyways, I was fine, but it is definitely making me realize that I am not in my safe zone anymore. There are so many things I have never had the chance to see or experience growing up in my middle class neighborhood in Arizona! Isn't it great that I have the chance to experience more of life now that I am 30? In the future I think I will be a little more cautious, but for the next 2 weeks I will try to be more optimistic as I walk through the metal detectors at this high school. :)

You are truly living life on the wild side Minder. You are this generation's "Dangerous Minds" teacher. I don't think they've shown it on Lifetime yet so you might have to google this one. You guys are the best.
