Febstashuary

For any of you who might not know what Febstashuary is, let me fill you in. During the month of February all of the residents in Matt's program grow out their facial hair in preparation for their board exams. So, on the day of the test they should all have a burly mustache! There really is no rhyme or reason to the hairy month, but is shows solidarity, right? Not sure right now if the facial hair will be going away any time soon, but I hope it will only be a yearly thing.

Matt's Day

My mom is very creative and tries to come up with great gifts for us on birthdays or holidays. She sent Matt this box that told him his gift was indoor rock climbing. There was a "door" on the box to show that it was "indoor" rock climbing with money looking like "rocks". Clever, huh?




Matt is ready to do some serious climbing.



Happy Birthday Matt! He is a very hard working guy and got to take his birthday off this year. We were able to spend the day together and it was wonderful!

Indoor Skydiving

My parents got all of us indoor skydiving for Christmas! We all went together that Saturday and it was such a cool experience. You just feel like you are floating in this big tube. The trick is to balance your body and figure out what makes you stay in the air. This was such a fun thing to do with all of my brothers and sisters.

I will have to include more pictures later of us actually flying...only one of the cameras took good enough pictures but just know we had a blast! This is the closest I will get to sky diving so Matt will have to do that on his own or with another brave soul.

Christmas in AZ

Ice Skating and Pizza

On Christmas Eve, the whole family got together to ice skate. This was so much fun and it was cute to see the kids try it.

Garcias

I was so excited to be in Arizona and have some real Mexican food! I have withdrawals and Matt encourages me to get it out of my system while I can. So, here we are at Garcias with my family.
